President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. said that the rising prices of commodities in the Philippines continue to pose a major problem for Filipinos.

President Marcos has vowed to put up more Kadiwa outlets to include even communities located in far-flung areas across the country with the aim of assisting consumers as well as local and small businesses to address this issue.

The Kadiwa program seeks to provide consumers with access to basic necessities at more affordable prices. Currently, there are over 500 Kadiwa stalls across the country that provide Filipinos with access to basic goods at a lower cost.

He instructed the Department of Agriculture, the Department of Trade and Industry, and the Department of the Interior and Local Government to work together in establishing additional Kadiwa stalls.

Aside from addressing the issue of rising prices, President Marcos has also been actively working to support Filipinos negatively affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. He also distributed government assistance to beneficiaries to help them recover from the impact of the pandemic.

President Marcos Jr. reiterated the government’s commitment to supporting Filipinos in need, emphasizing that the government will continue to provide assistance to those who require it.

He encouraged Filipinos to reach out to the government and to state their needs, assuring them that the government is committed to helping them overcome the challenges they face.
