Farmers in Liliw, Laguna, are seeing their crops flourish thanks to a digital platform that connects them with wider markets. Launched by SEARCA and AppGeese, the initiative has transformed Lufamco, a local cooperative, from isolated sellers to connected entrepreneurs.

Previously, Lufamco’s farmers struggled with limited reach and inconsistent prices. But through the AgriEx app, they now have direct access to buyers, real-time market data, and streamlined transactions. This empowers them to adjust crops based on demand and secure fair, often above-market prices.

The benefits extend beyond the digital. Lufamco now produces and sells organic fertilizer, collaborates with government agencies on farm-to-market projects, and even runs a successful multipurpose building.

Lufamco president Enrico Arvesu credits the local government and non-profit partners for enabling this digital transformation. SEARCA director Dr. Glenn Gregorio echoes the sentiment, highlighting the project’s positive impact on farmers’ well-being.
