Navotas City is gearing up for its 118th founding anniversary on January 16, with festivities highlighting the rich fisherfolk culture in the ‘Fishing Capital of the Philippines.’

The local government expressed gratitude for community support in overcoming challenges.

The “Araw ng Mangingisda” will feature boat racing and net mending competitions, honoring outstanding local fishermen.

The “Pangisdaan Festival” street dance, Navotas Funbike, clean-up activities, and the “Kalye Fiesta” night market aim to promote marine conservation and local entrepreneurship.

The groundbreaking of the Kaunlaran Super Health Center and various events, including the Grand Parade, will mark the celebration.

The theme is “Kapag Tulong-Tulong, Angat ALL, Saya ALL,” emphasizing collective progress and joy. The city-wide distribution of rice packs from January 17 to 22 will conclude the festivities.
