CABARROGUIS, Quirino – The ongoing road improvement project on the Dibul-Gamis Road in Saguday, Quirino is expected to offer entrepreneurial opportunities to at least 1,000 residents once completed.

Department of Public Works and Highways-Quirino officer-in-charge District Engineer (DE) Arnold A. Sabug identified the project as one of the flagship programs between the DPWH and the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) called Roads Leveraging Linkages of Industry and Trade Program.

“This project will establish a sustainable primary source of income to Sagudayenyos through the provision of an accessible and convenient road network beneficial in developing an economically-viable transport facility,” Sabug said.

He is optimistic that the project will be a boost to the emerging fossilized flower industry, considered as the One Town, One Product (OTOP) of Saguday.

The project which commenced early in February has a P30-million fund from the General Appropriations Act of 2023.

Part of the project involves the construction of a 0.965-kilometer Portland Cement Concrete Pavement and slope protection structure.
