The beautiful island town of Biri in Northern Samar is preparing to welcome 120 guests from the Australian cruise ship Coral Adventurer.

The tourists are set to explore the island’s destinations in November.

The provincial tourism officers, tour operators, and port agents recently visited Biri Island to assess the logistical requirements finalize the activities and tour itinerary, and ensure that visitors have a well-planned and enjoyable experience during their stay.

The team focused on inspecting the docking facilities and exploring the various sites that the tourists can visit.

This upcoming cruise call is not only a milestone for Biri Island but also an opportunity to showcase its natural beauty and attractions to international tourists.

The upcoming event in Biri Island, located in Eastern Visayas, is expected to have a positive impact on tourism in the province.

Biri is renowned for its ancient rock formations, which were formed through tectonic movements caused by earthquakes over millions of years.

The island has six accessible rock formations, including Magasang, Bel-at, Magsapad, Caranas, Macadlaw, and Puhunan. Biri Island is a popular destination for international cruises in Eastern Visayas and is the second town in Northern Samar to be included in expedition cruises.

The Coral Adventurer cruise ship will spend nine days exploring Leyte and Samar, making stops at various attractions, such as Capul Island, Tacloban City, Babatngon town center, Kalanggaman Island, Cuatro Islas, and Padre Burgos.
