NAGA CITY (PIA) – The second year trade show of locally- made products in the province of Camarines Sur dubbed Feria De Camarines surpassed its target income of P5-M by generating a total sale of cash and booked items, to Php 6,001,530, at the end of its weeklong event from June 14 to 18 at the Atrium of Robinsons Naga , here.

The locally-renowned trade expo in the province was organized by the Department of Trade and Industry Camarines Sur, together with the Camarines Sur Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CSCCI), Inc. and Provincial Government of Camarines Sur.

About 15 micro, small and medium-sized enterprises from the homestyle and bamboo sector being assisted by DTI-Cam Sur, and five booths for suppliers including financing institutions participated in the said event.

DTI Camarines Sur Provincial Director Jay Percival Ablan said that this year’s ‘Muebles,’ highlighted the digitization of sales and marketing of every joining entrepreneur. “Each product has a QR code which directs the scanners or the buyers to the social media accounts of the businesses for convenient and more effective transaction,” he said.

This year, the department also entered into an agreement with Maybank, their new financing partner, in order to provide opportunities to their assisted MSMEs to avail of loans. Ablan said that this partnership will enable their clients to have added financial support so they can expand their production and extend their other marketing strategies.

DTI Cam Sur and the CSCCI, Inc. also re-inked a memorandum of agreement for stronger coordination and cooperation of programs and activities in the future.

The Feria de Camarines 2023 wrapped up by giving special awards to the following exhibitors: E. Borromeo Furniture & Fixture Shop as the Social Media Favorite, Bula Masarig as the Best Product Set-up, and Joystyle Furniture as the Best Marketing Strategy.

E. Borromeo Furniture & Fixture Shop also emerged as the Top Seller and the Most Promising Product of the Year. (PIA5/Camarines Sur)
