On November 1, 2022, Tatler Asia magazine recognized Quezon City Mayor Joy Belmonte as one of “Asia’s Most Influential” personalities for 2022, acknowledging her successful leadership in making Quezon City the richest city in the Philippines.
Tatler highlights Mayor Belmonte’s accomplishment of her goals of improving the lives of her constituents and recognizes the mayor’s initiatives and projects, including housing programs, and the provision of social services for various sectors of the community.
In addition, Tatler also lauded the mayor’s exemplary management of the Covid-19 pandemic and her initiatives to help and support local businesses and entrepreneurs.
Mayor Belmonte was also included on Tatler’s “Women of Impact 2022 List : Filipinas Who Have Made Their Mark” in April, 2022. Moreover, Quezon City has been named as the Philippines’ richest city for two consecutive years since 2020 by the Commission on Audit.
These exhibit Mayor Belmonte’s efficient and competent leadership, which addresses various social issues, as well as responds to the needs of QCitizens.
